Nick Montana Chooses Mt. San Antonion College

Son of legendary 49ers quarterback will attend a junior college.

The son of San Francisco 49ers' legend Joe Montana has found a new home to play quarterback

Washington announced just over a week ago that quarterback Nick Montana had been released from his scholarship so that he could transfer to another school.

The son of the four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback has chosen to try his luck at Mt. San Antonion College in California.

Montana just completed his red shirt freshman season with the Huskies. His new school is a junior college.

Montana landed at Washington with much fanfare as one of the jewels in coach Steve Sarkisian's second recruiting class. But Montana was beaten out for the starting role by Keith Price last spring and Price threw for a school record 33 touchdowns this season.

Montana made one start when Price was injured at Oregon State. Montana was 11 of 21 for 79 yards and two touchdowns. He saw action in six games and threw three TDs and two interceptions.
