Cadillac Escalade Driven by Elderly Man Crashes Into 7-Eleven

An elderly man was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after crashing his Cadillac Escalade into a 7-Eleven in Daly City, sending bottles of soda and boxes of crackers to the floor.

Luckily, no injuries were reported from the crash. The store wasn't open, and only the clerk was there, just on the other side of the store.

The crash was reported at 8:41 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Hillside Boulevard at the corner of East Market Street. The 70-year-old driver needed some sort of medical attention after the crash, police said.

"Medics were called to the scene for his injuries and he was transported," Daly City Police Sgt. Harold Rolfes said.

The store was left a mess, and a tow truck was called to pull the SUV from the front window.
