Female Student Raped by Male Student at UC Berkeley: Police

    Police at the University of California, Berkeley are searching for a male student accused of raping a female student at a dormitory near campus in October. 

    The rape occurred at the Unit 3 Housing Facility at 2400 Durant Ave., between Dana Street and Telegraph Avenue, at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 28, police said.

    The victim was at a party with the suspect then left with him to go to his dorm room, according to police.

    Despite the victim telling the suspect that she did not want to have sex, he sexually assaulted her, police said.

    No futher details were available.
