Lufthansa will be launching a new nonstop flight between San Jose and Frankfurt in late April, airline officials announced Thursday.
This newest direct flight is one of several recent developments coming to the Mineta San Jose International Airport. Just two months ago, British Airways announced that it would begin flying nonstop between San Jose and London starting in May, while nonstop flights to Beijing from San Jose are already available.
The flights are expected to appeal to tech workers who often fly for business.
Mineta San Jose International Airport is owned and operated by the City of San Jose. Just under 10 million passengers flew with the airport in the 2015 fiscal year, officials said.
