Mom Attacks Son Over Pork Chop: Police

Woman accused of chasing teens with knife

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A mom upset because her teenage sons ate the last pork chop in the house was arrested and accused of punching one of the youths and chasing them with a knife, Sacramento police said.

Chavonna Gough, 36, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and endangering the life of a child, jail records show.

A police report said the attack happened at a home near the intersection of Casa Linda Drive and Del Luna Court.

The report said Gough got angry with her 16- and 19-year-old sons.

Gough allegedly hit one of her sons in the head and then punched him in the face, police said.

Police said Gough then apparently chased her children from the home with a knife.

The 16-year-old boy was placed into protective custody, police said.

Gough remained in jail Wednesday. Bail was set at $60,000.
