San Francisco Subway Project Expected to Exacerbate Traffic Woes in Vicinity of AT&T Park

Commuters in San Francisco can expect major delays around AT&T Park this week due to the Central Subway Project.

Construction on the costly initiative, which will connect Chinatown, Downtown, Mission Bay and the Bay Shore neighborhoods, began on Friday. Officials expect crews to be on scene throughout the week.

Officials have advised drivers to avoid the area around 4th and King streets during this time, as construction crews will be putting in special tracks.

Construction of the 1.7-mile extension of Muni’s T Third Line is expected to be completed sometime in 2018, according to officials.
