Secret Texts Revealed Relationship Between Cheer Coach and Boy, 14

Boy, 14, and Coach, 23, Admit to Sex

It was forbidden love, and it was against the law. And a string of text messages revealed it all to parents, and then police.

The mother of a 14-year old boy, one of 23-year old cheerleading coach Anthony Loza's charges, discovered a string of text messages between the pair that led to Loza being charged with felony molestation, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Loza, who coached cheerleading at Andrew Hill High School and Energy Athletics, was arraigned Wednesday and is expected to post $160,000 bail. He'll return to court in January, and faces up to four years, four months in prison.

Loza is alleged to have had a three-month sexual relationship with the boy, 14. According to court documents, when the mother confronted the boy with the texts, he admitted to having "kissed" his coach. The mother then phoned police.

Later, both boy and adult admitted to police investigators to having consensual sex.
