A series of small earthquakes struck near Hollister on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The first temblor, a preliminary magnitude 3.4 reported at 10:41 a.m., was centered in the Tres Pinos area, the USGS said.
As of 12:15 p.m., there have been at least nine small earthquakes reported in the area.
