M2.5 Earthquake Shakes Near Gilroy: USGS

A preliminary 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck near Gilroy Thursday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 8:17 a.m. and was centered about 4 miles west of Gilroy and 10 miles south of Morgan Hill, the USGS said.

No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
