Pair of Small Earthquakes Shake Near San Juan Bautista: USGS

Two small earthquakes, a preliminary 3.4 magnitude and a preliminary 3.0, struck just south of San Juan Bautista Wednesday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The first quake, centered about 2.8 miles south San Juan Bautista, hit at 12:26 p.m., the USGS said. The second in the same area hit at 12:48 p.m.

No other information was immediately available. Updates to come.
