Small M2.6 Earthquake Shakes Near Gilroy: USGS

A preliminary 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck near Gilroy on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 1:06 p.m. and was centered about 8 miles southwest of Gilroy, near the town of Aromas, the USGS said.
