Firefighters knocked down a fire that destroyed one home and damaged three others in Milpitas on Sunday, according to fire officials.
The fire ignited in the area of Barker and Casper streets, east of Interstate 880, fire officials said. Witnesses reported seeing sparks from a nearby power pole and hearing pops seconds before they saw flames.
One home was destroyed, one had moderate damage, one had exterior damage and one had minor damage, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
