Man shot, killed near gas station in Oakland

A man was shot and killed outside a gas station in Oakland Thursday night, according to police.

The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. near the 76 gas station at the corner of Edes and 98th avenues, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
