South San Francisco Police Seek Dog Walkers to Help Deter Crime

South San Francisco police are looking for a few good dog walkers — or just walkers — to help them fight crime.

Anyone who goes out regularly walking their dogs, or anyone who likes to take daily walks in the community, is invited to participate in the police department's crime awareness program.

The Dog Walker Watch Program will involve observing and reporting suspicious activity while walking pets, police said on social media today. A training session will be held at the police department on May 23 at 6:30 p.m.
