SJ Bank Robbery Suspects Arrested

San Jose police arrested two men in South San Francisco roughly an  hour after they allegedly robbed a bank on Alum Rock Avenue, a San Jose  police spokesman said Tuesday morning.
     
The robbery occurred around 4:10 p.m. Monday at a Bank of America at 2300 Alum Rock Ave. in San Jose, Officer Jermaine Thomas said. The two  suspects took cash and fled.
     
An investigation into the robbery led police to South San Francisco, where they apprehended the two men in their car, Thomas said. There was no chase and no weapons were involved, he said.

Thomas credited good police work for the arrests.

The suspects have been identified as Marcos Alberto Cruz, 40, and  Robert Ortiz Longoria, 43. Both are Salinas residents.

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, Thomas said.
