A PG&E power outage affected nearly 8,000 customers in San Jose Tuesday night, the utility company said.
The impacted areas included Alum Rock and Fleming avenues as well as Story and Mount Hamilton roads, PG&E said.
The outage was caused by a car crashing into a power pole near Gay and North Capital avenues around 7:30 p.m., official said.
PG&E crews were at the scene and power was expected to be restored by midnight or early Wednesday morning, PG&E said.
