One of the rockstar equivalents for the legal world continues her Bay area tour Friday.
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will appear at Stanford Law School.
On Thursday, she addressed law students at UC Berkeley, where she spoke about how the selection of Supreme Court justices has become so political.
Sotomayor, the first Supreme Court justice of Hispanic heritage, will be in conversation with M. Elizabeth Magill, dean of Stanford Law School.
“We are thrilled to welcome Justice Sotomayor to Stanford,” Magill said. “She is an exceptional jurist and public servant and is a hero and role model for many of our students.”
Sotomayor will speak at Stanford's Memorial Auditorium starting at 1:30 p.m.
The event is open to current Stanford faculty, staff and undergraduate and graduate students with a valid Stanford University ID (SUNet ID) who have a ticket.
