Temperatures may soar to 100 degrees Monday in parts of the inland Bay Area according to NBC Bay Area meteorologist Christina Loren.
What comes with searing heat is an increase of fire danger and poor air quality, too. The hottest parts of the Bay will be the Tri-Valley area, Oakland should top out about 90 degrees, and the usually foggy San Francisco should reach 80 degrees.
A cooler marine layer is expected to roll in Monday night, and by Wednesday, the heat should dip considerably.
