Barbara Casados is an unlikely crusader. The Danville mother of three never gave much thought volunteer work, preferring instead to focus all her energies on her children. Her middle son, Maddox, in particular needed extra attention.
When he was two, doctors determined Maddox was autistic. Even a simple task such as getting dressed in the morning was a challange for Maddox, as well as his mother. When she tried to help him, he'd get upset and fight her the whole way.
It was the suggestion of a friend that not only helped Maddox get dressed, but changed Barbara's life.
