Vallejo police arrested a child care provider Saturday on suspicion of sexually assaulting three juvenile girls over a two-year period.
Louie David Goursau, 61, was arrested Saturday when he turned himself in to Vallejo police at 8:15 a.m., Lt. Abel Tenorio said this morning.
Detective John Whitney had called Goursau to inform him there was a warrant for his arrest and he surrendered, Tenorio said.
Goursau was living with a friend in the 700 block of Alabama Street in Vallejo but has also lived in Petaluma, Redding and San Francisco, police said. Police are asking anyone who may have been victimized by Goursau to call Whitney at (800) 488-9383.
The alleged victims include the daughter of the Alabama Street family, a neighbor's child and a girl from a San Francisco family who was staying in Vallejo for the summer, Tenorio said.
The girls were between 9 and 12 years old when the alleged abuse began two years ago, Tenorio said.
The girl who lives at the home was abused at least 30 times and all three girls were victimized as a group between 10 and 20 times, Tenorio said.
Tenorio said Goursau took videos of the girls dressing up, Tenorio said.
Goursau also allegedly showed the girls pornographic videos and committed lewd and lascivious acts on them including sexual penetration and oral copulation, police said.
There is no indication the family with whom Goursau was living knew of the sexual assaults, Tenorio said. Goursau was watching the girls in exchange for living rent-free at the home.
