A U.S. Marine was killed and three other American service members injured Saturday by indirect fire from militant forces in northern Iraq, NBC News reported.
ISIS forces fired rockets onto a base near Mahmour, south of Mosul, where American troops are advising Iraqi security forces, a U.S. military official said in a statement. One of the rockets is responsible for the casualty.
No further information was immediately released, including the Marine's identity.
