Taylor Lautner's “Abduction” Trailer Drops

We didn't recognize him at first, what with him wearing a shirt and all, but we've confirmed that this is in fact Taylor Lautner.

In his first leading role outside the "Twilight" series, Lautner plays Nathan, a regular kid who one day discovers that the grown-ups down the hall may not, in fact, be his real parents.

Lautner remains the very essence of wooden, giving line readings with a stiffness and lack of emotion that would make January Jones blush. But director John Singleton has surrounded Lautner with a talented team of back-ups. In addition to Lily "Blind Side" Collins as his girlfriend, the film stars Alfred Molina, Sigourney Weaver and Mario Bello. It's not enough.

Here's the official synopsis for "Abduction," which opens Sept. 23:

What would you do if you found your own picture on a missing persons website? Teen Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) finds himself facing this very dilemma. Setting out to uncover his real identity, Nathan quickly learns his parents are far from who they say they are. When the police, government agents and shadowy figures start to pursue him, Nathan’s quest for the truth erupts into a full-blown “Bourne”-like man-on-the-run thriller.
