Steph Curry Doesn't Appear to Be a Fan of the Panthers' Trade Deadline Deal

While Steph Curry has spent most of his adult life living in the Bay Area, he has remained a devoted fan of his hometown Carolina Panthers.

Over the years, he's spent quite a bit of time around the team and has participated in on-field pregame ceremonies.

So when the Panthers, who are 5-3 and in second place in the NFC South, made the stunning move of trading leading receiver Kelvin Benjamin on Tuesday, the Warriors point guard had a hard time digesting the news.

"Please help me understand this madness....," Curry wrote on Twitter when retweeting a post about who will have to step up for the Panthers with Benjamin gone.

Ahead of the 1pm PT trade deadline, the Panthers sent Benjamin to the Bills for their third- and seventh-round picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Panthers GM Matt Hurney explained his reasoning behind the trade.

"Buffalo had expressed interest, and we wanted to put more of a mix of skill sets on the field and add some speed," Hurney told reporters, according to The Associated Press. "We decided it was the right move."
