Last night/this morning's Giants-Rockies game just finished in time for the second game of the series.
The Friday night 18-inning marathon ran into the early morning hours and somehow, Erik Kratz, who was behind the plate the entire game, was all smiles. Probably because he's been in that situation before, and the Giants' walked away heavy-eyed with a 3-2 victory.
Kyle Freeland and Madison Bumgarner will take the mound for both sides. MadBum is currently seeking his first win of the season. And across his career, he is 13-8 with a 3.04 ERA in 30 started against Colorado.
And when it comes to Freeland, if you're a big batter-versus-pitcher person, both Buster Posey and Evan Longoria each have career homers against the 25-year-old lefty.
