Time to get your trash pick-up on! Redwood Creek runs underground through the city carrying trash and pollutants all the way from Highway 280 to our beloved Bay. It resurfaces at a major commercial center, which generates significant trash, before discharging into the Bay. Save The Bay is co-sponsoring this event with Redwood City and is thrilled to be part of this community effort to ensure Redwood Creek's winding banks and eddies are free from wildlife and human harming plastics and polystyrene. We’re making this a zero waste event, so remember to bring your own bucket, gloves and tools. We’ll be handing out prizes for the most unusual item found and the best dressed bucket contest! Everyone gets a Save The Bay 50th Anniversary t-shirt, so please list your shirt size in the comments.

Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. If you have filled out a form on one of our partner websites it does not mean that you will be included in our event. You must fill out the online registration form below to register yourself or a group of 9 people or less.

If you need more information about this or other events or if you would like to sign up a group larger than 9 people please contact Natalie LaVan at (510) 452-9261 x109 or email bayevents@saveSFbay.org.

No experience necessary. Gloves, tools and instruction provided. Each event is led by Save The Bay staff certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid and all site projects have been planned to ensure safety.
