Sex with Google Glass: App Lets Lovers See Each Others' Point of View

A new Google Glass app will let you see what your sex partner can see -- which could be a whole lot of narcissism.

Sherif Maktabi, a product design student at Central Saint Martins art college in London, created the app called Sex with Glass which provides users with shared livestreaming of sexcapades, according to The Guardian.

The project allegedly started with the question, "How can we make sex more awesome with Google Glass?" Apparently it was to create a porno starring the users.

"Some people find what we do repulsive," Maktabi told the Guardian. "But a lot of other people – and I am basing this from the emails we are getting online – really desire to try this. People have fantasies, desires and needs. It's personal. . . . What they do with that is up to them. Guilt, dogma and shame is something we still widely experience when it comes to sex and how we talk about it."

Both partners are expected to wear Google Glass and record the livestreamed images. While the video can be replayed, the ephemeral videos will supposedly self-destruct within five hours. The app can also be used to set the mood with  lighting and music. Maktabi said the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

Despite Google's anti-porn stance, Maktabi doesn't seem concerned. "People at Google know. And they are happy and had a good laugh. But I don't know what Google 'the thing' thinks of what we are doing."

Despite Maktabi's lack of concern, Google's anti-porn stance will probably mean this app will not be an official offering. That said, watching your partner watch you engaged in an intimate act seems like the height of narcissism. Not only is the user focusing on himself or herself, but also can't be bothered to spend his or her entire concentration on a partner rather than a computer device. (We can't think the person who breaks this out on a date is a person you should be seeing.)

And as we all know from Snapchat, those videos probably have a way of being saved long after the five-hour limit.
