One of the best kept secrets in the Bay Area is a campsite just south of Stinson Beach. There, the waves are so loud they tend to wake you up at night. The cabins are sturdy and come with a pot belly stove. For $100 a night there is simply no better view available.

They can be made up to seven months in advance and open in blocks of one month at a time. The next block will open for October 2010 on March 1.
