Call him Conan the Conqueror.

Incoming Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien is slaying the competition by announcing a heavy-hitting line up for his first show  next month.

Funnyman Will Ferrell, who was also on the final night of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," will be the first guest on the on the couch for O'Brien's 11:30 p.m. debut, and grunge veterans Pearl Jam will be the inaugural band.

Pearl Jam will perform songs from an upcoming studio album -- their ninth -- and Ferrell will no doubt plug his sci-fi comedy "Land of the Lost," which will open in theaters only a few days later on June 5.

The band in March also  just re-released their first album, Ten, which featured classics like "Black" and "Alive, so any of those legendary tracks could also potentially make it into the broadcast.

O'Brien, who dominated the 12:35 a.m. slot with "Late Night" for the past 14 seasons, will succeed Jay Leno as host of NBC's "The Tonight Show," on June 1.

The notoriously tall and gangly redhead first joined NBC as a writer on "Saturday Night Live" in 1988.
