Feeding off the crowd is what 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh does best.
But on Friday night he didn't have to worry about the Xs and Os -- it was all about the coin toss at his Alma mater, Palo Alto High School.
"When your high school, especially football coach asks you, tells you to do something, you just do it," Harbaugh said. "I'm here and enjoying it."
Also enjoying it were the fans, parents and students alike who packed the stands in a sold-out game.
"It's awesome," student Parker Devine said. "It means a lot since he's a Paly grad. And it's great to have him on the field."
Harbaugh was also on campus to check out the newly renovated football field, complete with new grandstands, ramps for those who use wheelchairs and a new concession stand.
