Baby Goats!

Peninsula farm opens doors for open house with baby animals.

Try to remain calm, but we'll forgive you if you lose your composure and squeal with delight at this news: you can pet baby goats in Los Altos. Also baby chickens, baby lambs, and baby pigs. Awwwww.

The farmyard fun is at Deer Hollow Farm in Rancho San Antonio County Park, and it's part of an annual open-house to meet the new arrivals. It's a major fundraiser for the organization, which has already been squeezed by municipal budget cuts and rained-out events.

Families can get up close with the animals this Saturday, April 16, from 10am to 1pm, and again on May 21. Tours of the farm are $5, and the money will help fund year-round educational programs, according to the Merc.

Visitors can also help by purchasing keepsakes like notecards, birdhouses, and t-shirts.

Thousands of schoolchildren and summer campers visit the farm throughout the year, learning about agriculture and animal care.
