This was the scene at a memorial held for the victims of the Asiana crash held on Saturday, July 13 along the San Francisco Bay.

The victims of the Asiana Airlines crash were remembered at a memorial service south of San Francisco Wednesday night.

A spokesman for Mayor Ed Lee says he attended yesterday's private service in Colma for the three Chinese girls who died when a Boeing 777 crash-landed at San Francisco International Airport on July 6.

    No further details were provided.

A prayer ceremony was held Saturday for victims, passengers and families of those involved in the crash of Asiana Flight 214.

Some family members of the girls who died in the crash reportedly attended.

Three teenage girls were killed when a Boeing 777 crash-landed after approaching a San Francisco International Airport runway.

One of the girls who died was thrown out the back of the plane, a second died days later from her injuries, and a third was struck and killed by a fire vehicle rushing to fight a blaze that broke out on the plane.

Wednesday's memorial was not the first in the Bay Area. An outdoor memorial was held July 13 on the edge of the bay across from the runway. Family members of the victims also attended that event.
