You're welcome Twitter, Brian Wilson and his beard is back.

After a tweet about a run in with several "overaggressive males" at an Arizona night club in 2009 outed the Giants' pitcher as being out till 1 a.m. the night before a day game where he blew a lead, Wilson quit Twitter.

But Wednesday afternoon @BrianWilson38 sent his first tweet in almost two years.

"The Beards back on twitter.....Lets Rage!!!!!!!!" He tweeted to his more than 5,600 followers.

Wilson's return to the San Francisco-based social networking site makes sense with his quirky personality and black beard have gained a national following with some fans even pushing for Wilson to host Saturday Night Live.

Last week, he appeared on "Lopez Tonight" with a Popeye inspired outfit, pushing MLB 2K11.
