Some people in need of medical help will have to drive much further after a Saturday morning fire seriously damaged a healthcare center in Sonoma County.
Crews arrived at the Russian River Health Center, 16319 Third Street in Guerneville, about 2:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke and fire on the top floor of the two-story building, and it spread quickly.
It took about two hours to put out the fire.
Firefighters estimate about a $500,000 in damage, but they said it could double.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
