Houston Rockets Take Ferry to Oakland Coliseum

With Bay Bridge out, the Houston Rockets had to make alternate plans to get to Oakland

You're not the only one with plans ruined by the Bay Bridge closure.

The Houston Rockets had planned to fly into Oakland and stay in San Francisco, but ended up changing planes and landing at SFO.

And rather than take a long, circuitous route across the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge to Oakland on a bus, they decided to hop on board the Alameda-Oakland Ferry.

Hope they had a chance to drop by the Thursday Farmer's Market at the Ferry Plaza and fondle the produce!

However, in keeping with the Bay Area's relaxed attitude toward celebrity, a bunch of incredibly tall and somewhat wealthy men didn't cause much of a stir.

Only "a handful of people...knew they were the basketball team from Houston," Rockets team spokesperson Nelson Luis said.

And certainly none of the team got seasick, if their 108-107 win over the Golden State Warriors was any indication.

Jackson West would be happy to show the Rockets around Bay Area public transportation any time.
