Original Stow Beating Suspect Released from Jail

Giovanni Ramirez finishes his 10 month sentence for a parole violation.

The man originally suspected of beating San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow at Dodgers Stadium is out of jail.

Los Angeles police arrested Giovanni Ramirez last May.

He was eventually cleared in that investigation, but a judge sentenced him to 10 months in jail for a parole violation. LAPD had found a handgun on Ramirez when they arrested him. Access to a firearm is a violation of his parole for a prior crime.

Police arrested two new suspects just a few weeks after Ramirez was sentenced.

Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood were charged with felony mayhem and assault for Stow's brutal beating and Ramirez was exonerated.
