Police: SJ School Lockdown Lifted

A San Jose elementary school was put on lockdown for about 90 minutes Thursday morning as police tried to find two burglary suspects.

Police put students and staff at Harry E. Slonaker Elementary School on Cunningham Avenue on lockdown about 9:30 a.m. That's because police were looking for two burglary suspects. One of those suspects was taken into custody.

A receptionist who answered the phone at the school said the lockdown was lifted by 11:30 a.m. She said all the children were fine.

There was no immediate word from police about the outstanding suspects.
