Santa Clara County Seeking to Return Unclaimed Money

A machine prints checks in this file photo.

Santa Clara County wants to track down over 1,000 people to settle up fines, penalties and fees.

It’s not what you think, though.

Instead of owing, the people on this list are due money.

There is about $240,000 unclaimed. While most people are due under $100, some people on the list are due over $1,000.

To get the funds, people must file a claim though Santa Clara County's Department of Revenue by the end of May.

If you're wondering if you have some money coming your way, check out the lists on county’s website.
