Santa Greets Kids in North Pole Chill

NBC Bay Area's Bob Redell is on his annual trek to North Pole, Alaska where the weather on Friday was a frigid -47 degrees and Santa's toys weren't even put outside for fear of the electronics freezing.

The long trip from the Bay Area is all to meet Santa, who was busy greeting children and putting them on his lap. Santa said that this year is perhaps the busiest he's ever seen it.

His reindeers were out back of his shop, waiting for their big sleigh trip through the sky on Christmas Eve.
