Sunset Magazine Hosts Final Celebration Weekend in Menlo Park

After 50 years, Sunset Magazine is preparing to bid farewell to the South Bay.

After selling the Menlo Park campus and gardens last year, Sunset will host the Celebration Weekend 2015 on the picturesque grounds for the last time on June 6-7.

In December, Sunset will relocate editorial and business operations to new offices in Oakland's Jack London Square, the publication announced Tuesday. The editorial team plans to create a small garden on the waterfront that will be viewable to the public.

"We love that the location connects us to our history: Jack London was a regular contributor to Sunset back in the day, and the cabin-style bar that was his regular haunt will be at our doorstep," editor in chief Peggy Northrop wrote.

The Menlo Park gardens are open to the public on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through November.
