11-Year-Old Girl Stabs Female Family Member

A 11-year-old girl remained in a Dallas juvenile center on Saturday night, accused of stabbing a female family member nine times.

Toshia Edmonson, 41, was rushed to the hospital in serious condition Saturday morning.

Police said the child stabbed the woman inside an apartment in the 5100 block of Village Fair in Dallas.

The Dallas Morning News reported the girl told police after a physical confrontation, she waited for Edmonston to fall asleep, then took a knife from the kitchen, then stabbed the victim in the head, neck and shoulder.

Another person in the apartment called police.
