The Warriors are all smiles these days.

The Golden State Warriors are off to their best start in years and there is more hope on the horizon.

The team;s new owners could finally be in place to run the team from outside the shadows within a couple of weeks.

“We expect the transaction to close and a (NBA) board vote within the next couple of weeks,” NBA Spokesman Mike Bass told the San Francisco Business Times.

No specific time line was offered but the approval was expected to happen by the end of October. Still few anticipate there will be any problems in the league's approval of new owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber.

The two titans purchased the team from much-maligned Warriors' owner Chris Cohan for an NBA record $450 million in July. The duo was seen as a surprise winner of a sweepstakes that long suffering Warriors' fans hoped would be won by Oracle CEO and billionaire Larry Ellison.
