Cardboard Turns Into Bugs, Birds and Brains

"A cabinet extraordinaire of natures oddities... a phantasmagorical display of a mad man's private collection." Patrick Segui takes vintage and recycled material to create beautiful dioramas and shadow boxes that are so intricately rendered, you wouldn't believe that a large majority of the medium used to create these pieces is cardboard. Segui has a show at the Shooting Gallery that closes on Thursday, March 5th, 2009, before showing work in Los Angele's La Luz de Jesus and in Austin, Texas' South by Southwest festival.
