Giants fans wishing to take the ferry from Larkspur to the ballpark may want to start packing extra dollars.

The one-way trip to AT&T Park via the ferry would cost $11 -- $9, plus a $2 service fee from our friends at tickets.com -- under a proposal at the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, which handles passage between Marin and San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Appeal online newspaper.

The tickets for the ferry would be sold online at the Giants' Web site or at tickets.com.

Fans would be able to buy their tickets via smartphones and scan their phones upon boarding the ballpark ferry, the newspaper reported.

    Last year, a one-way trip was $10.

There will be another 50-cent increase on the game day ferries on Nov. 15, the newspaper reported. So that'll wait until the 2014 season.
