Well, with the formation of their own solar-buying co-op, a Panhandle-based "enabler" are making it easier for San Franciscans of all nabes to go green. Joining "1 Block Off the Grid" is free, and members stand to save nearly two-thirds on their solar systems by way of group negotiating. Nearly 200 have already signed up.
