    44-Year-Old Man Dies in Stabbing at Fisherman's Wharf

    A 44-year-old man died in a stabbing at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf on Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday.

    A 44-year-old man died in a stabbing at San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf on Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday.

    The victim, identified as Brook Pettyjohn, died after the stabbing was reported at 1:48 p.m. in the area of Jefferson and Taylor streets.

    Police said 56-year-old Bruce Edward Penn of San Francisco was arrested in connection with the stabbing. 

    Penn was booked on the charges of murder and multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon, police said. 

    Investigators learned that both Penn and Pettyjohn frequented the Fisherman's Wharf area.

    The investigation is ongoing.
