Domestic Violence Suspect Evades Police During Chase

Police are asking for the public's help to locate a 20-year-old man who fled from police Tuesday after an alleged domestic violence incident in Marina.

At 9:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident in the 3000 block of Bostick Avenue, according to police.

Officers learned that a man there, possibly armed with a gun, was involved in an argument with a family member, police said.

Upon arrival, officers determined the suspect had a gun at one point during the argument but another family member took it away from him.

The man then fled in a vehicle.

After searching the area for the suspect, officers located him driving on Reservation Road, just west of Imjin Parkway, according to police.

When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the suspect refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

After a 10-mile pursuit with assistance from the California Highway Patrol and Monterey County sheriff's deputies, police lost sight of the suspect near the community of Spreckels. Authorities were unable tolocate the suspect afterward.

He's been identified as Jasen Kolone of Marina. Kolone is wanted for evading police.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Marina police at (831) 384-7575.
