Four People Shot in Menlo Park

Drive by shooting in Menlo Park leaves four men injured.

Menlo Park police responded to several reports of shots fired just after 8 p.m. Friday night.

When they arrived they said they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds.

All of the victims were adult males and were taken to the Stanford Medical Center for treatment. Two were in good condition, one was in serious condition and one was in critical condition, according to police.

By Saturday morning, three of the four victims were released from the hospital. The fourth victim remained in the hospital, but was listed in stable condition, according to police.

The shooting happened near the intersection of Windemere Avenue and Ivy Drive.

That is not  far from the Facebook headquarters. It is also close to Belle Haven Elementary School.

It was not clear what lead up to the shooting.

Witnesses said the group was standing in a front yard when two cars drove by and starting firing.

The two vehicles seen fleeing the scene were described as a black Honda and a black Acura. Police said on Saturday that they had no further descriptions of the shooters.
