Grisly Shooting Death Under Investigation in Concord

    By Saturday, Nov. 21, a makeshift memorial was growing at the scene of an overnight fatal shooting in Concord.

    A man was shot and killed in Concord late Friday night, according to police.

    Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Monument Boulevard and Erickson Road at 11:29 p.m. on report of gunshots.

    Once on the scene, they found a man lying in the roadway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

    Investigators say that the circumstances of the shooting are currently unclear, and there is no suspect information available.

    Detectives with the major crimes unit have been assigned to the case, according to police.
