Firefighters in San Mateo were able to put out a three-alarm blaze of a structure early Monday morning that likely started in the laundry room and initially prompted the evacuation of dozens of residents, firefighters said.
The fire was reported just before 1 a.m. in the 2200 block of Bridgepointe Parkway and it was contained within an hour, according to officials. It was deemed under control at about 2:25 a.m., officials said.
No injuries were reported, and the extent of the damage was not immediately available, according to officials.
