Restoration thinning, prescribed burns can reduce risk of massive fires, study shows

New research from UC Berkeley says if we want to keep our forests healthy and protected from severe wildfires, we have to use different management techniques.

The 20-year Fire Surrogate Study showed scientists that restoration thinning, prescribed burns or a combination of both can reduce the risk of a massive blaze.
